Brian Hoop


Prior to his role as Director at Housing Oregon, Brian Hoop was Manager of the Community and Neighborhood Involvement Center (CNIC) with the Office of Neighborhood Involvement (ONI) at the City of Portland, providing financial, leadership and organizational development support for civic engagement and social change community partner organizations. In that role he provided leadership, financial, and program development for neighborhoods, communities of color and immigrant and refugee organizations, Disability Program, New Portlanders Program and Public Involvement Best Practices Program. He was with ONI since 2000. Prior to that Brian was Associate Director of Oregon Action, formerly Oregon Fair Share, a statewide economic justice organization. He has been a community organizer for 30+ years working on local, state and national organizing and ballot measure campaigns for environmental and nuclear disarmament, racial equality, higher education funding, union organizing, HIV prevention, and LGBTQ civil rights.
