Case Study: The Redevelopment of Dekum Court – Achieving diversity in each phase of a project

Session Description:
The workshop will provide an overview of the process that the team (working with Home Forward) used to seek out and maximize opportunities to increase diversity and inclusion during each phase of the project. The Dekum Court Redevelopment is funded in part by Metro’s Affordable Housing Bond and will provide 147 new affordable homes to the existing 40 homes at Dekum Court. Construction will occur in two phases to ensure existing residents of Dekum Court will not need to be relocated. The Phase 1 construction (at least 40 homes) will be completed in early 2023. Phase 2 construction is scheduled in the Fall of 2024.
