Annual Leadership Awards Nominations Accepted
Housing Oregon’s Annual Awards Gala is first and foremost an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the amazing efforts of the many staff, leaders, and volunteers from our voting member organizations. We invite you to share this announcement with others within your organization to consider nominating individuals, organizations, projects, and/or programs.
The Gala will be held Wednesday, September 18 at the Hilton Portland Downtown, 921 SW 6th Ave., with happy hour beginning at 5:30 PM, doors open to dinner at 6:30 PM, followed by keynote and awards ceremony at 7:00 PM.

Star Player Award
Recognizes the outstanding contributions one individual within a voting member organization has made over the course of the previous year.
Golden Hammer Award
Honors a multifamily rental project that best shows the ideals of affordability, quality of design, livability, community revitalization or service integration.
Strides for Equity Award
Recognizes the many different ways our members across the state embrace diverse populations in their communities and ensure that prosperity is a tide that lifts all boats.
Gretchen Kafoury Award – Fearless Advocacy – Significant Impact
As a fearless activist as well as an elected official who always stood up for what is right, Gretchen Kafoury had a profound and lasting impact on our state and its people. This award will honor an individual, organization or endeavor that had a significant impact in the past year on affordable housing, community development and/or social justice in Oregon.
Steps to Success Award
Honors an outstanding resident services and/or asset building program that effectively improves the lives of low-income families or individuals.
Golden Key Award
Honors a homeownership project completed in the past year that best demonstrates the ideals of affordability, quality of design, livability, community revitalization or service integration.
Asset Champion Award
Honors an organization whose asset/portfolio management program best demonstrates the ideas of long-term planning, improving asset performance, maximizing asset value, saving money on project and portfolio level, and proactive problem-solving.
