Title: Assistant to the CEOLocation: Roseburg, Oregon


The Assistant to the CEO provides high-level support to the Chief Executive Officer, and when needed for, executive staff, including heavy calendar management and successful coordination of meetings. They serve as the liaison between the Executive and other departments within the organization. They exercise independent judgment in the resolution of administrative problems. They prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with little to no supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitie

  • Managing the Chief Executive Officer’s calendar, requiring interaction with internal and external executives and assistants to schedule variety of business meetings;
  • Performing various HR tasks, including but not limited to job announcement postings, scheduling interviews, reviewing applicants, convening hiring committees;
  • Assisting in the preparation of meetings of the Board of Directors and taking minutes when required;
  • Handling incoming and outgoing phone and electronic communications on behalf of CEO; routing incoming calls to appropriate parties quickly and efficiently;
  • Arranging travel and reservations for the CEO as needed;
  • Independently creating well-organized, grammatically correct memos and reports for distribution to members of various departments;
  • Assisting with special events planning;
  • Using multiple software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate, and format data or reports
  • Maintaining highest level of confidentiality;
  • Exercising administrative judgment; assuming responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results impacting staff, costs, or quality of service within the functional area;
  • Participating in strategic and operational meetings;
  • Supporting the CEO in having a global view of the organization and operations, as well as providing strategic and timely insight into day-to-day goings on.
