Position: Communications Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Status: 35 hours, exempt
Salary: $45,000 annual

Kôr Community Land Trust is an award-winning non-profit affordable housing developer based
in Bend, OR. Kôr provides environmentally sustainable and permanently affordable
homeownership opportunities for those who contribute to the fabric of the Central Oregon
economy and community. Kôr Community Land Trust is seeking a Communications Coordinator
to promote the organization’s external communications strategy to its diverse stakeholders.
With support from the Executive Director, the Communications Coordinator is responsible for
creating, implementing, and executing effective communication strategies and events to
promote the organization’s mission.
Essential Functions
Communications
● Develop and maintain an effective and comprehensive communications plan, including
web and social media content, email campaigns, press releases and other marketing
materials.
● Write and edit clear and compelling content, such as website copy, newsletters, press
releases, and social media posts to engage target audiences.
● Coordinate and manage all aspects of the organization’s website, ensuring that it is
updated, accurate, and appealing to visitors.
● Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to secure coverage of the
organization’s initiatives and projects.
● Manage the organization’s social media accounts and engage with followers to promote
awareness and understanding of the organization’s mission and work.
● Provide support for other communications and marketing initiatives, as needed.

Events Management
● Market upcoming events to ensure key community stakeholders’ attendance.
● Ensure proper event registration, list management, and stakeholder data.
● Create powerpoints, talking points, and other presentation materials.
● Produce a show of events and run the day of logistics.
● Coordinate contractors, facilities, and volunteers.
Minimum Requirements
● Associate degree or equivalent experience.
● Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
● Demonstrated team player with interpersonal skills.
● Comfortable communicating with external stakeholders.
● Reliable automobile transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
● 2 years effectively creating and developing messaging for nonprofits.
● Excellent written/oral communication skills, with customer-facing priorities.
● Experience with culturally and economically diverse communities.
● Working knowledge of Salesforce, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Expression Engine,
and/or Greater Giving.
