Director of Resident Services – Full-time Position

IHI is looking for a dedicated individual to lead its Resident Services Team. Our portfolio includes
workforce housing, family housing, and low-barrier housing for adults with special needs. This position
reports directly to the Executive Director and will be a member of IHI’s Leadership Team.
Job duties include:
• Supervising and supporting an expert team of Service Coordinators, individually and collectively,
using an anti-racist, trauma informed lens
• Developing relationships with Service Coordinators and facilitating skill building through
ongoing internal and external trainings and professional development opportunities
• Understanding each of IHI’s apartment communities and specific needs and providing
tailored/targeted support to Service Coordinators to ensure successful interaction with and
outcomes for residents
• Program Development to include the monitoring of existing programs for quality and impact.
This may include preparing reports for use with IHI Board and/or funders
• Ensuring Resident Service programs are resident centered, driven, and informed and are equitably
delivered and culturally responsive
• Hiring and onboarding/training of Services team members to ensure that they are positioned for
on the job success
• Developing the Resident Service Program budget and monitoring expenses
• Activating/managing volunteer support for Resident Services programming
• Initiating and maintaining key strategic partnerships that support IHI’s Services Programs
• Collaborating with IHI’s Leadership Team to ensure Resident Services are fully integrated with
Operations, Asset Management, and Housing Development
• Working with IHI’s Leadership Team to support IHI’s mission and goals, nurture IHI’s
organizational culture, and advance IHI’s work to become an anti-racist organization
– Working knowledge of basic clinical practices including Trauma Informed Care
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Local social service experience
– Lived or professional experience serving communities of color and other underserved
– Supervision experience preferred
– Knowledge of affordable housing preferred
– Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and competency in Excel

– Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within teams, solve problems, and achieve targeted
– Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
– Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
Compensation: $75,000/year, DOE Competitive Health and Retirement Benefits
