Colonia Unidad Apartments (Woodburn)

Colonia Unidad consists of four low-rise apartment buildings with 44 apartments that will provide affordable housing to serve farmworkers, the workforce population, and their families. Shared breezeways provide a comfortable space for neighbors to meet and casually interact. A community building is central to the site’s organization with adjacent covered bike parking spaces, garden beds, and a children’s play structure. The park-like site design includes a pedestrian/bike path, play field and secluded outdoor gathering spaces.

Orchards of 82nd (Portland)

Orchards of 82nd is a mixed-use development at SE 82nd and Division including 48 affordable apartments, a multi-cultural community center, and the offices of the Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO) who envisioned the project. The affordable homes will help long-time neighborhood residents to stay in their community as real estate prices escalate. The project team included O’Neill Walsh Community Builders, SERA Architecture, and Housing Development Center. Funders include OHCS, Portland Housing Bureau, Prosper Portland, Metro, and US Bank.
