Dear Partners,

Oregon Housing and Community Services Homeownership Division has $600,000 in training funds available through the Home Ownership Assistance Program (HOAP). These funds are available to assist organizations with the costs associated with training and development of staff for following training courses and consultations, including but not limited to:

Courses related to Homeownership activities
Housing Counseling Certification
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training
DEI consultation on organizational policy development/implementation
HOAP is funded through the document recording fee and is granted to eligible organizations (nonprofits, housing authorities, government entities and federally recognized Tribes that own land in Oregon) that sponsor and manage low-income homeownership programs.

This request for applications (RFA) #7173 has been revamped from a prior solicitation to allow training funds to support applicable in-person and electronic courses. There is no requirement to use a specific training provider.

Applications will be evaluated and selected on a first-come, first-serve basis, based on available funding and per the requirements in this RFA. There is a maximum amount of $30,000 available per selected applicant.
