Oregon Housing and Community Services released their draft for the Qualified Allocation Plan update with the latest version dated September 4, 2019.
Housing Oregon submitted new comments on August 25. With a quick turnaround to provide comments, seven Housing Oregon members participated in a meeting on Wednesday, August 21, and five shared comments via email. The 1986 Tax Reform Act created the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC) as an incentive to encourage the construction and rehabilitation of rental housing for lower-income households. The program offers credits on federal tax liabilities for 10 years. Individuals, corporations, partnerships and other legal entities may benefit from tax credits, subject to applicable restrictions.
