About the position:  The Neighborhood Housing division of Portland Housing Bureau (PHB) provides access to home repair and retention programs, working with community partners in coordinating/evaluating/creating innovative ways to help low income and minority homeowners to retain their homes.  The Housing Program Specialist that will administer policies and procedures associated with single family homeownership access and retention programs. This position works primarily with the Lead Grant Coordinator, implementing program compliance requirements for the Lead Hazard Control grant. The Housing Program Specialist is expected to carry out responsibilities with initiative, independence and creativity while exercising sound professional judgment and problem-solving skills

 

As a Housing Program Specialist, you will:
  • Administer policies and procedures for new and existing homeownership assistance and home repair programs.
  • Ensure that program eligibility requirements are met, that existing loans comply with funding terms.
  • Ensure output and outcome data is tracked, reported, and evaluated.
  • Support efforts to increase minority contracting outcomes.
  • Track long term health outcomes associated with home repair assistance programs.
