Williams Plaza is a nine-story public housing apartment community with 101 studio and one-bedroom homes. Five of the one-bedroom apartments have physical accommodations for accessibility. The community, which is conveniently located in Northwest Portland, serves seniors and persons with disabilities.
The Medallion property is a six-story public housing apartment community with 90 one and two-bedroom homes, including five that have physical accommodations for accessibility. This community serves seniors and persons with disabilities. It is located near the stores and services in Northwest Portland.
Some of the Essential Job Functions include:
1. Prepare vacant apartment units for resident occupancy. Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and sanitizing all apartment surfaces;
- Cleaning, sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming all floor surfaces; scrubbing composite flooring and cove base; removing all wax build up, cleaning and applying new wax; vacuuming and shampooing all carpeted areas and spot treating stains;
- Washing walls and ceilings; scraping and removing all tape, decals or foreign debris to prep for painting/varnishing;
- Preparing surfaces for painting; painting vacant units;
- Cleaning all interior and exterior doors and windows;
- Changing light bulbs;
- Cleaning window treatments; ordering replacement draperies as needed;
- Cleaning all kitchen cabinetry including drawers, shelves, hinges and hardware;
- Clean appliances; make minor repairs and adjustments to appliance burners, elements, switches and seals;
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathtubs, showers, sinks, toilets and vanities;
- Cleaning and polishing faucets, towel bars and chrome fixtures;
- Cleaning outside patio, storage area, sheds, garage and basements;
- Testing smoke detectors and hot water temperature in all units.
- Moving and/or setting up furniture or appliances as directed.
- Assist property manager and/or Maintenance Generalist III in unit inspections.
2. Clean and sanitize property common areas including community rooms, offices, restrooms, laundry rooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators and lobbies; sweep, mop, polish, strip, wax and buff using commercial grade equipment. Set up “wet floor” signs.
3. Vacuum and shampoo carpeted property common areas using commercial grade equipment.
4. Complete routine building maintenance and repairs; replace door stops; unplug toilets.

All maintenance staff are required to wear Home Forward approved uniform, appropriate foot wear and personal protection equipment as required of specific work tasks. Maintenance staff must have the ability to wear and use a half mask respirator, which includes being cleared through a medical questionnaire and the maintenance of facial hair in a manner that allows a half mask respirator to seal without the intrusion of hair between the seal and skin.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives general supervision from the Property Manager and/or Public Housing Management staff.
