We are seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician for the apartment community of Gresham Village Square in Gresham, OR. We are looking to add a motivated self-starter to our team who is thorough, experienced, organized, and enjoys building a positive environment for residents and co-workers. In this position, the Maintenance Technician will receive mileage reimbursement for required trainings. The ideal candidate will also have bilingual skills in Spanish and English.

Workdays: Monday to Friday from 8 AM TO 5 PM

Pay: $23.00 – $24.00 an hour (DOE)

Additional Compensation: $30.00 cell phone stipend and mileage reimbursement

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician

  • Review punch list and complete items in a timely manner or as instructed.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Complete all resident maintenance/repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize a P.O. system for purchases.
  • Accompany all necessary building inspections and property walk through for owners, Management staff, brokers, appraisers and other interested parties.
  • Maintain and monitor interior and exterior common area cleanliness including but not limited to: snow and ice removal, landscaping, litter patrol, laundry rooms, parking lots, garbage areas, etc.
  • Available for after-hour emergencies.

A pre-employment background check is required on all final candidates. A skills assessment test will be conducted prior to extending an offer.

Requirements

Requirements for the Maintenance Technician

  • Previous apartment maintenance experience is required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) is preferred.
  • Pool Maintenance experience is required.
  • Must work with residents in a professional manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Able to work with little supervision
  • Have a basic set of hand and electric tools
