Oregon Housing and Community Services, Homeownership Division has $90,000 in Training Funds available through the Home Ownership Assistance Program (HOAP) to assist in the costs associated with the upcoming NeighborWorks Training Institute Los Angeles, CA scheduled for May 18 – 22, 2020.

HOAP is funded through the Document Recording Fee (DRF) and is granted to eligible organizations (non-profits, housing authorities, or government entities) that sponsor and manage low-income homeownership programs.

NeighborWorks Training Institute Los Angeles, CA courses and workshops under the listed categories are eligible for reimbursements:

  • Financial Capability
  • Housing Education and Counseling
  • Courses starting with “HO” only

Expenses relating to eligible training and reimbursed by OHCS are limited to airfare, hotel, airport parking and shuttle transportation to and from the airport and hotel.

Funds are available for reservation upon meeting the minimum requirements outlined in the RFA. The maximum amount per eligible organization submitting their “Reservation Application” on or before April 6, 2020 is up to $3,000. The maximum amount per eligible organization that submits their “Reservation Application” after April 6, 2020 is up to $2,000. All applications must be received by OHCS no later than April 22, 2020 by 3:00 PM PST.
