As of April 1, OR-MEP can serve new construction affordable multifamily rental properties statewide. With the addition of new federal funds that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded to the state, OR-MEP now offers two sources of funding to incentivize energy upgrades.
The eligibility requirements and application process for federal funds differ from OR-MEP’s state funds.
Project Type & Completion Date: Federal funds are only available for new construction multifamily rental properties located anywhere in Oregon with planned completion by March 1, 2029.
How to Apply: Whereas applications for state funds are only accepted during Open Enrollment rounds, applications for federal funds are accepted on an ongoing basis.
