Description:
Northwest Housing Alternatives, ACCESS, Urban League of Portland, and Sponsors have created a learning cohort and are developing a proof of concept model for debt relief support to overcome rental barriers to help people with criminal histories or those transitioning from incarceration exit homelessness or successfully move from transitional housing into permanent housing. The cohort aims to make a policy case that debt relief support works to housing, corrections, health and human service agencies. The cohort is a project of the Meyer Memorial Trust.
