Rebates Available to Help Fund New Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) launched the Community Charging Rebate Program on June 13, 2023. This program provides rebates for the installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargers in publicly accessible parking areas or at multifamily housing locations. Rebate amounts are calculated per port installed or 75% of the eligible costs, whichever is less. Applicants who install four Level 2 chargers with a total of eight ports, for example, could receive a total of $44,000 if they qualify for the base rebate amount.

ODOT has set aside 70% of the funding for projects in priority communities, which includes disadvantaged and rural communities.
