Resident Services Coordinator | Cascadia Behavioral Health Care

This position will work at three housing complexes; Garlington, Richmond, and Sandy. The schedule for this position is full time, 40/hrs. per week, M-F, day time hours.

The Resident Services Coordinator position plays a critical role in supporting Cascadia Residents for financial security, physical security, social connections, and the delivery of long-term community based supportive services. This is an on-site role responsible for being the steward of the assigned property, while supporting a Trauma Informed Care environment for the tenants. With the high prevalence of trauma among individuals receiving mental health housing services, it is required the Resident Services Coordinator understand the effects of trauma on health, coping, and other aspects of the lives of those we serve. The employee is responsible for providing resident services/ skills building as directed by the Portfolio Manager. This position works with residents who are veterans referred by the VA, staff, case managers and other community resources to ensure residents are supported as needed and to find solutions to financial and behavioral problems that, if not resolved, would jeopardize the resident’s continued housing.

  • Provide a proactive and collaborative approach that meets the needs of residents in a sustainable and continuous manner.
  • Assess resident’s needs; help identify, access and coordinate services; monitor receipt and follow through of services.
  • Create and sustain partnerships with community based supportive service providers, hospitals, health agencies service providers and other community stakeholders that will help residents identify and effectively manage their preventative health and social service needs.
  • Understand and enforce Fair Housing policies and procedures and Landlord/Tenant Laws.
  • Support residents by sharing information regarding building rules and expectations as directed by the Portfolio Manager.
  • Conduct routine apartment inspections for housekeeping issues and work with the tenant to find solutions to remedy the issues.
  • Report all landscaping, building and dwelling unit safety concerns.
  • Complete annual employee training requirements on a timely basis as defined by the agency and program.
  • Adhere to all state and federal privacy and security regulations and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. Adhere to mandatory abuse reporting laws and HIPAA requirements.
  • Attend and participates in all meetings as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
